Adam R. Nienberg

HOLGATE – Adam R. Nienberg, 19, of Holgate, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born January 31, 2006, in Lima to William and Sara (Gilgenbach) Nienberg, who survive in Holgate.

He is also survived by two siblings: Laura (Casey Hillenbrand) Nienberg of Defiance and Douglas (Jael Michelson) Nienberg of Delta.

Adam was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Holgate High School, where he was a proud member of the high school band.  He attended Northwest State Community College, Archbold and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental. Adam was very intelligent in solving math equations, enjoyed gaming and Esports, and loved animals, especially his dog, Duke.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to mass on Tuesday at the church.
