ADRIAN W. BIRKEMEIER
KALIDA - Adrian W. Birkemeier, 80, of Kalida, died 6:15 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 after an automobile accident on St. Rt. 115. He was born September 3, 1934, in rural Columbus Grove, to the late John W. and Mary A. (Fuerst) Birkemeier. On June 13, 1959, he married Mary Hedrick and she survives in Kalida.
Also surviving are 3 sons: Michael (Marilyn) Birkemeier, Steven (Beth) Birkemeier and David (Janice) Birkemeier all of Columbus Grove and 18 grandchildren.
Adrian retired after 42 years from Philips in Ottawa as an electrician and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, a former member of Kalida Knights of Columbus, and a former IBEW Union president. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Anthony Catholic School Endowment Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
