Agnes R. "Aggie" Swint

OTTOVILLE – Agnes R. "Aggie" Swint, 75, of Ottoville died at 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her residence.  She was born June 8, 1945 in Ottoville to the late Cornelius and Barbara (Heitmeyer) Brinkman.  On September 14, 1963 she married Mike Swint, who survives in Ottoville.

Also surviving are 3 children:  Kevin (Marcia) Swint of Sylvania, Barb (David) Bruns of Tiffin and Becky (Steve) Lause of Wapakoneta; 10 grandchildren:  Gregg (Katie) Swint, Bryan (Bri) Swint, Paige (Peter) Nelson, Luke Swint, Danielle (Brandon) Coffman, Jessica (Austin Harvey) Bruns, Casey (Brandyn) Banks-Sherer, Alex Lause, Madison Lause and Conner Lause; 3 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way; and 7 siblings:  Ruthie Rosengarten of Glandorf, Annie Meyer of Glandorf, Teresa Friemoth of Idyllwild, CA, Julie (Jorge) Rivas of Chile, Rita Brinkman of Ottoville, Bob (Judy) Brinkman of Ottoville and Tom (Barb) Brinkman of Ottoville.  Aggie is preceded in death by a daughter:  Jan Marie Swint.

Aggie retired after 32 years from Aeroquip, Van Wert and work for Lock 16 during her retirement.  She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and its C. L. of C.

Aggie's greatest love was dancing with Mike and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also loved their many family vacations together, camping and playing cards.  She enjoyed golfing with family and friends as well.

The funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jerome Schetter officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and masks are required at the church.
