Agnes Sager

OTTAWA – Agnes Sager, 100, passed away peacefully at 1:15 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born October 9, 1921 in Kalida, to the late Florian and Josephine (Uphaus) Stoepfel.  On February 25, 1941 she married Norbert Sager, he preceded her in death on November 2, 1988.

Survivors include, three sons: Dean (Barb) Sager of Ottawa, Ken (Marge) Sager and Sam (Susan) Sager, both of Glandorf; three daughters: Nancy (Earl) Siebeneck of Leipsic, Barb (Jim) Kreinbrink of Ottawa, and Joan (Eddie) Thomas, all of Tallahassee, Florida; seventeen grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law: Colleen Sager of Kalida.

She was preceded in death by a son: Davis; a daughter: Diane Unterbrink; three granddaughters: Tricia, Ann Marie and Kari; a grandson: Eric; a great-grandson: Hunter; four brothers: Joseph, John, Lawrence and Greg Stoepfel; five sisters: Clara, Matilda, Laura, Marietta and Cleora.

Agnes retired from GTE of Ottawa after nineteen years.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, as well as the Altar Rosary Society and CLC.  Agnes always had time for her family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Father Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
