ALFRED C. KAUFMAN
OTTAWA - Alfred C. Kaufman, 75, of Ottawa, died 3:05 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born November 1, 1939 in Leipsic to the late Alfred Sr. and Cordula (Frank) Kaufman.  On November 12, 1960, he married Joan C. Foppe.  She died June 8, 1997.
Survivors include 4 sons: Steve (Jill) Kaufman of Ottawa, Charles Kaufman of Glandorf, Kevin (Marcia) Kaufman of Kalida and Carl (Lori) Kaufman of Glandorf; 11 grandchildren: Jake (Lindsay) Kaufman, Logan (Katie) Kaufman, Katelyn Kaufman, Evan Kaufman, Kara Kaufman, Nicole Kaufman, Joni Kaufman, Halie Kaufman, Kellie Kaufman, Rebecca Kaufman and Andrew Kaufman; 1 great grandchild on the way; a brother: Gerald "Shorty" (Joan) Kaufman of Ottawa; a sister: Mary (James) Reaman of Lima; and 2 sisters-in-law: Loreen Kaufman of Montpelier and Terese Kaufman of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Marie Kaufman; and 5 brothers: Daniel (Rita), Robert (Ruth), Alvin, Ambrose and Cletus Kaufman.
Alfred retired from Philips ECG, Ottawa and a graduate of Bluffton High School.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, Ottawa Eagles, Glandorf Rod and Gun, and Ottawa Knights of Columbus; as well as a lifetime member of Kalida Fish and Game and Leipsic Fishing and Hunting.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will begin at 1:45 p.m.
