Alice A. McCarthy
KALIDA – Alice A. "Sis" McCarthy, 73, of Kalida and formerly of Strongsville, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born September 25, 1938 in Lima to the late Edward and Helen (Thompson) Utendorf. On October 19, 1963, she married Justin J. McCarthy and he survives in Kalida. Also surviving are 3 brothers: Allan "Bud" (Judy) Utendorf of Arlington Hts, IL, Donald (Joanne) Utendorf of Beavercreek and Dr. James Utendorf of Kalida; one sister: Barbara (Scott) Moorhead of Columbus Grove and several nieces and nephews.
Alice was a former member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Strongsville. She had been a Medical Assistant for a Cardiologist, a bank manager, and had been a Jr. High School teacher in Berea. Alice enjoyed playing cards, traveling, sewing, attending theater performances and dearly loved spending time with her family and friends.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to The Meadows of Kalida.
