Alice M. Maag
FT. JENNINGS – Alice M. Maag, 92, of Ft. Jennings died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Vancrest of Delphos. She was born October 30, 1919 in Ottoville to the late Sylvester and Regina (Wurst) Wannemacher. On August 10, 1939 she married Cletus Maag who died June 24, 1985.
She is survived by 10 children: Ronald (Joyce) Maag of Ft. Jennings, Gary (Diane) Maag of Kalida, Bill (Norma) Maag of Ft. Jennings, Judy (Karl) Fortman of Kalida, Janice (Alan) Schroeder of Ft. Jennings, John Maag of Lima, Randy (Rita) Maag of Cloverdale, Rick (Laurie) Maag of Ft. Jennings, Tim (Janet) Maag of Monroe, MI., and Terry (Mary) Maag of Ft. Jennings; 33 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by 4 grandchildren: Steve Maag, Kelly Maag, Robert Maag, and Rob Kortokrax; 4 brothers: Earl, Richard, Norval, and Robert Wannemacher and 3 sisters: Jean Leonard, Priscilla Wannemacher, and Rita Eickholt.
Alice retired from GTE Sylvania formerly of Ottawa. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings and its Rosary Altar and Catholic Ladies of Columbia Societies.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Fr. Joseph Weigman and Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (corner of St Rts 224 & 634) and one hour prior to the mass on Saturday at the church. There will be a scripture service at 2 p.m. and a rosary at 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
