Amalia Irene Green

CONTINENTAL – Amalia I. Green, 55, of Continental, passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Brookview Health Care, Defiance.  She was born September 14, 1967, in Defiance to John William and Beatrice Anita (Richards) Barta, both parents survive in Defiance.  Amalia was engaged to Bill Collins, he preceded her in death on October 10, 2016.

Amalia is survived by a granddaughter: Brooklyn Barta of Defiance; a brother: John Barta; two half-sisters: Elizabeth Elrod and Ruth Nadine; a half-brother: Jerry Elrod; and mother-in-law: Martha "Marty" Dotson of Continental; her fiancé's daughter: Ashley Collins; and her fiancé's grandchildren: Wyatt, Ryder, James "JJ", and Emberlee.

She is also preceded in death by three children: Jeffrey Barta, Joseph Barta, and Jyssica Barta; and fiancé: Bill Collins

Amalia worked for Rhees Grocery Store in Oakwood.

No services will be held.  Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
