Millie was a nurses aide for 35 years at Van Crest Nursing Home in Delphos, where she showed true compassion and kindness to the residents and their families. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings.
Millie's greatest accomplishments were raising her family and caring for their home that she and Richard built together. She took great pride in her beautiful flowers and loved to garden. Millie also loved to bake pies and cinnamon rolls and never missed a chance to share them with her family, friends, and neighbors. Her favorite pastimes were celebrating holidays, sharing her childhood stories and singing old songs with her grandchildren. We will miss her bright eyes and sweet smile. Her love and kindness to everyone throughout her life will never be forgotten.
To cherish her memory and celebrate her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Delphos. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and one hour prior to the mass on Saturday at the church. There will be a rosary at 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
