JUNCTION – Amy VanScoder, 85, of Junction died 4:07 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at Twin Rivers Nursing Home, Defiance.
She was born November 23, 1926 in Paulding to the late George and Macy (Linneberry) Font. On August 20, 1945, she married Guy "Scooter" VanScoder who died March 9, 1983.
Survivors include a son: Mike (Wanda) VanScoder of Defiance; two daughters: Donna (Chet) Becker-Miller of Dayton and Pat (Mike) Rogers of Defiance; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: David, Eli, Charles, Leo, and George Font; and five sisters: Gert Grimes, Doris Snavely, Martha Rolfh, Grace Louth, and Jane Yenser.
Amy retired from Zeller Corp., Defiance.
A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at North Mount Zion Church, Continental with Pastor Brent Gibson officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood.
