Andrew B. Schroeder
Glandorf – Andrew B. Schroeder, 96, of Glandorf died 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf. He was born February 3, 1916 in Glandorf to the late Ignatius and Mary (Nueveman) Schroeder. On April 17, 1945, he married Eileen Uphaus who died March 23, 2004.
He is also survived by his children: Dennis (Catherine) Schroeder of Bellville; Donald (Julie) Schroeder of Glandorf; Roger (JoAnn) Schroeder of Glandorf; Joyce (Gilbert) Kaufman of Columbus Grove and Patricia (John) Siefker of Glandorf; 19 grandchildren; 19 Great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law: James Duling of Ottawa.
Preceding him in death are six brothers: Robert, Martin, Hugo, Benno, Linus, and Anthony Schroeder and four sisters: Esther Duling, Mary Morman, Genevieve Schroeder and Agnes Warnecke.
Andrew was lifelong farmer. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving as a Military Policeman in Puerto Rico. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Church, Glandorf and its Men's Society; 50 years + and life member of the Ottawa American Legion; Ottawa Eagles, Glandorf Rod & Gun and was a Glandorf Village Councilman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Military Rites by the Ottawa American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a Parish Rosary will be 7:30 p.m.
