Angela "Angie" Maag

GLANDORF – Angela "Angie" Maag, 85, of Glandorf, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  She was born May 20, 1940, in London, England to the late Cecil and Vera (Flockton) Hurst.  On July 5, 1969, she married Michael J. Maag, he preceded her in death on February 17, 2014.

Angie is survived by three children: Kim (Ken) Redman, Paul (Michelle) Maag and Amanda (Nick) Iannotta, all of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Elsa, Lucas, Chase and Brooklynn; and three sisters-in-law:  Geraldine Hurst of England, JoAnn Kuhlman of Ottawa, and Georgie Westrick of New Bavaria.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Joan (Keith) Taylor; a brother, David Hurst; and a granddaughter, Addelyn Maag.

Angie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. She retired from Putnam County Homecare and Hospice and was a full-time babysitter to her grandchildren.  Angie had been an au pair in Germany and Switzerland; she was also a travel agent and loved to travel.  She enjoyed horseback riding and beaches, especially in Aruba and Florida.  Angie loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and all her family.  She had a love for animals, especially her beloved dog Otis.

A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 8 on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Ottawa VFW.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Putnam County Dog Shelter.
