Anna Mae Verhoff
KALIDA - Anna Mae Verhoff, 75, of Kalida died at 3:45 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at The Willows at Willard, Willard, OH. She was born July 28, 1939 in Lima to the late Cornelius and Cecilia (Hoffman) Knott. On October 7, 1972 she married Cletus Verhoff who died October 26, 1998.
She is survived by a daughter: Nancy (Michael) Martin of Willard; 4 grandchildren: Madelynn, Sophia, Isabella, and Noella Martin; and a brother: Thomas (Marge) Knott of Columbus Grove. Anna was also preceded in death by 6 brothers: Camilus, Richard, Paul, James, Joseph, and Cornelius, Jr. Knott and a sister: Mary Damon.
Anna was a housekeeper for St. Rita's Medical Center retiring in 1999 after 40 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society, and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Ladies of Columbia.  Anna enjoyed reading, playing cards, baking, and especially her time with her dog, Tressel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a rosary by the Altar Rosary Society at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Church or Heartland Hospice in Fremont.
