Anna Marie Warnecke
Kalida -- Anna Marie Warnecke, 95, of Kalida, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Putnam Heritage in Ottawa. She was born on December 4, 1919 in Leipsic to the late Charles and Amelia (Kuhlman) Schroeder. On April 30, 1941 she married Aloysius Warnecke who died April 7, 2013.
Anna Marie is survived by eleven children: Julianna (James) Landin of Ottoville, Paul (Cathy) Warnecke of Kalida, Helen (Leon) Meyer of Glandorf, Virginia (Jack) Gajewski of Delmar, NY, Ken (Shari) Warnecke, Mark (Ann) Warnecke both of Kalida, Joe Warnecke of Ottawa, Karen Warnimont of Miller City, John (Barbara) Warnecke, Donna (Rick) Rosengarten both of Glandorf, and Dave (Brenda) Warnecke of Kalida; 37 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; one sister: Lou Ann Hermiller of Ottawa; and one brother: Thaddeus (Florence) Schroeder of Leipsic.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Richard Warnimont; five brothers: Robert, Marcellus, James, Albert, and Paul Schroeder; and four sisters: Lucille Aelker, Alice Otto, Mary Jane Rieman, and Florence Otto.
Anna Marie was a homemaker. She had been a secretary for the Putnam County Farmers Union. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, it's Rosary Altar Society, where she had served as president, and was a volunteer. Anna served on the Putnam County Election Board, enjoyed the Putnam County Fair with many exhibits over the years, and gardening. Anna always had a smile on her face. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and her strong faith in God.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a rosary by the Altar Rosary Society at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice or to Putnam County Hospice.
