Anthony "Tony" Brinkman
Ottawa - Anthony "Tony" Brinkman, 59, of Ottawa passed away at 12:05 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1956 in Lima to Thomas and Alice (Pohl) Brinkman of Kalida. On June 28, 1985 he married Sandra "Sandy" Wolke who survives in Ottawa.
Tony is also survived by their children: Shaunda (Mike) Schnipke of Ottawa, Kyle (Jessica) Brinkman of Cincinnati, Kayla Brinkman of Ottawa and Shawn Brinkman of Marysville; 8 grandchildren: Logan, Alaina and Sallie Schnipke, Hannah, Hailey, Harlow and Hunter Brinkman and Jayna Brinkman; 12 siblings: Gus (Judy) Brinkman of Kalida, Fred Brinkman of Lima, Sam (Lora) Brinkman of Abilene, TX, Greg (Helen) Brinkman of Brookston, IN, Lauretta (Lester) Miller of Spring Lake, MI, Mike Brinkman of North Baltimore, Mary (Tim) Brown of Austin, TX., Rose (Ed) Long of Radner, Len (Cathy) Brinkman of Wimberley, TX, Charlie (Sue) Brinkman of Elida, Joe (Kristy) Brinkman of Bluffton, and Ron (Marianne) Brinkman of Ottawa and father-in-law: Richard Wolke of Ottawa.
Preceded in death by his mother-in-law: Norma Wolke and sisters-in-law: Sylvia Brinkman and Lucinda Wolke.
Tony retired in 2010 from Cooper Tire, Findlay where he was a tire engineer, he then started his own business YNOT Brinkman Engineering LLC, where he was forensic tire consultant. Tony was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. He served in many roles and was very active for 25 years with Boy Scouts of America, especially Troop 224 of Ottawa. Tony loved hunting, being outdoors and the many adventures he had with his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Al Ebach and Father Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held 7:50 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
