Arch Lyle Kious

OTTOVILLE – Arch Lyle Kious, 81, of Ottoville, died Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at his residence.  He was born August 25, 1941, in Columbus, OH to the late George and Velma (Bailey) Kious.  In 1964, he married Unalee Kortokrax and she survives in Ottoville.

Other survivors include a son, William Kious of Ottoville; two grandsons: Jericho Kious and Vincent Kious; and a sister, Linda (Robert) Lause of Delphos.

He was also preceded in death by a stepfather, Bob Allen, and a sister, Barbara Jo Sherwood.

Arch retired as Police Chief for Ottoville.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.  He was also a former member of the F.O.P., Putnam County and former president of the Putnam County Association of Rail Fans.

Funeral mass will begin 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. George Mahas officiating and Putnam County Honor Guard Ceremony. Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Union Cemetery, Columbus.  Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp.
