Arlene D. Haselman

LEIPSIC - Arlene D. Haselman, 88, of Leipsic died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born August 20, 1927 in Glandorf to the late Ben and Emma (Verhoff) Recker. On August 18, 1948 she married Tom Haselman who died September 27, 2000.

She is survived by 7 children: Janet (Larry) Bockrath of Glandorf, Duane (Barb) Haselman of Hamler, Nancy (Doug) Schroeder of Kalida, Karen (Robert) Warnecke of Ottawa, Jerry Haselman, Marvin Haselman, and Randy (Joan) Haselman all of Leipsic; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 1 sisters: Donna Recker of Glandorf and Brother in law and Sister in law Don (Monica) Miller of Ottoville. She was also preceded in death by a son: Kevin Haselman; a granddaughter: Andrea Haselman; 3 brothers: Amos, Alfred, and Norman Recker; and 4 sisters: Alma Niese,  Esther Riepenhoff, Rita Weis, and Celesta Miller.

Arlene was a nursing assistant at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa and had worked at Libby's formerly of Leipsic. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and its Rosary Altar Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, LEIPSIC and one hour prior to the mass on Wednesday at the church. A rosary by the Altar Rosary Society will be 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
