Barbara E. Whitenack
LEIPSIC - Barbara E. Whitenack, 81, of Leipsic, formerly of Muncie, IN, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born March 26, 1933 in Muncie, IN to the late Ernest and Alice (Lux) Lanning.
She is survived by 3 children: Kathryn (Mike) Taylor Niese of Ottawa, Steven (Joann) Whitenack of Syracuse, IN, and Linda E. Whitenack of Creston; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Don (Mary) Lanning of Muncie, IN.
Barb was a 1950 graduate of Muncie Central High School and was a travel agent for Hoosier Motor Club (AAA). She was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club and Ladies Moose both of Muncie, IN, and a former member of the Eastern Star of Muncie, IN. She volunteered at the Muncie Genealogy Library.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown, IN with Pastor Jerry Bowlin officiating. Memorials may be made to the Genealogy Society of Muncie, IN.
