Barbara J. Brittig

OAKWOOD - Barbara J. Brittig, 77, of Oakwood, passed away at 8:17 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Mercy Health Perrysburg Hospital, Perrysburg.  She was born December 27, 1946, to the late Robert and Emmogene (Wreede) McClure in Oakwood.  On September 9, 1972, she married Bernard J. "John" Brittig, he survives in Oakwood.

Barbara is also survived by two children:  Brad Brittig of Grand Rapids, and Bob (Misty) Brittig of Oakwood; a great-granddaughter:  Bryleigh; a brother: Larry (Judy) McClure; and a sister:  Carla (Bill) Morse.

She is preceded in death by a son, Brian Brittig; and a granddaughter, Hailey Brittig.

Barbara was an avid reader.  She enjoyed camping and loved spending time with her family.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2024, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood, with Pastor Chris Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood.    Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
