Belva Ann Richey
OTTAWA - Belva Ann Richey, 82, of Ottawa died at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 12, 1933 in Continental to the late Albert and Viola (Okuley) Ruhe. On May 29, 1954 she married William Richey who survives in Ottawa.
She is also survived by 5 children: Vicky Emry of Ottawa, Sharon (Mike) Wagner of Ottawa, Karen (Mike Marshall) Unverferth of Clarks Hill, South Carolina, Toma Jo Richey of Ottawa, and Denise (Gary) Verhoff of Kalida; adopted son by heart: Robert Griggs of Van Wert; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Bertha Evans of Greenville, TN and Iris Meyers of Greenfield.
Belva was an excellent cook and had cooked for the Red Pig Inn, Ottawa. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed camping, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and hand held games. Belva loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed being with people.
A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice or to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP).
