Bernard E. "Barney" Jerwers
GLANDORF – Bernard E. "Barney" Jerwers, 72, of Glandorf died 6:15 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at his residence.
He was born August 16, 1940 in Lima to the late Edwin and Lucille (Korte) Jerwers.  On November 25, 1961, he married Judy Lusk, who survives in Glandorf.  Also surviving are four children: Michael (Patty) Jerwers of Ottawa, Daniel (Tracy) Jerwers of Dacula, GA, Debra (Bart Edwards) Ricker of Columbus Grove, and Tina (Dennis) Siefker of Glandorf; nine grandchildren: Amanda Jerwers, Kristi Jerwers, Katie Jerwers, Molly (Josh) Hammitt, Emily Jerwers, Kari Ricker, Nikki Ricker, Tyler Siefker, Trevor Siefker; three great-grandchildren: Braxton, Braylee and Scarlett; three sisters: Carole (Harold) Altenburger of Cloverdale, Kathleen (Carl) Kistler of Ottawa, and Janice (Bob) Luersman of Delphos; and a brother: Richard (Marilyn) Jerwers of Findlay.
Barney retired from Scot Lad Foods, Lima. He was the owner/operator of Frogtown Elevator, Jerwers Farms, and BJ Trucking.  He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf.  He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, working in his garden, and loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a parish rosary said at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
