Bernard E. Meyer

OTTAWA - Bernard E. Meyer, 71, of Ottawa died at 1:19 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Rita's in Lima. He was born September 11, 1946 in Lima to the late Norman G. and June (Louy) Meyer. On May 23, 1970 he married Kathleen Brown who survives in Ottawa.

Also surviving are seven children: Craig Meyer of Maumee, Daniel (Jaclyn) Meyer, David (Mary) Meyer, and Vicky (Chad) Haughn all of Ottawa, Paul Meyer of Findlay, Bernard M. (Sara) Meyer of Ottawa, and Kevin Meyer of Findlay; four grandchildren; and a brother, Gilbert (Marilyn) Meyer of Ottawa.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Charlotte, Madonna, and Sr. June Ann.

Bernard was a flooring installer, retiring in 2000 from the Local Union # 351. He was an U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a member of the Miller City American Legion. He was also a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Scripture Service at 1:45 p.m.
