Betty Joe Theobald

CONTINENTAL – Betty Joe Theobald, 82, of Continental, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Vancrest of Delphos.  She was born January 3, 1943, in David, KY to the late Howard J. and Vadie (Scott) Centers.

Betty is survived by five children: Becky (Tony) Gilbert of Dupont, Gina (Jim Maidon) Theobald, Penny (Chris) Homier, Ray Theobald, and Rod Theobald, all of Continental; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; significant other: Dwain L. "Shorty" Startzman; brothers: Jess Centers of Elida, and Jim (Sue) Centers of Archbold; and sisters: Judy (Richard) Adkins of Oakwood, and Vivian Wagner of Fostoria.

She is preceded in death by a son, Paul D. Theobald; a brother, Bob Centers; a sister, Wanda Grant; and a grandson, A.J. Gilbert.

Betty loved spending time with her family and her dogs.

Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Monica Kleman officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Dupont.  A visitation will be held on Friday from 11 to 1 at the funeral home.
