Betty A. Burgei GLANDORF – Betty A. Burgei was born on February 24, 1935, in Glandorf, and was the daughter of the late Albert & Gertrude (Uphaus) Kleman. Betty died March 11, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Hospital, Lima. On July 12, 1958, Betty married Oscar Burgei (deceased) in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. They were married 65 years. She is survived by five children: Ronald (Cathy Berrington) Burgei of Glandorf, Gerald (Jeana Rieman) Burgei of Delphos, Debra (Kirk) Griffith of Lima, Allan (Suzanne Limanowski) Burgei of Cincinnati, and William (Jill Morman) Burgei of Rockwood, MI; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Rosemary (Bruce) Hume of Indianapolis and Audrey Cornelius of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased siblings include two brothers: Robert Kleman and Karl Kleman; and a brother-in-law, Lance Cornelius. Betty was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society, and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was editor of the 'CLC Index' publication for 15 years and helped manage J-B Radiator for decades.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and watching sporting events. Betty & Oscar wintered in Florida for many years. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. There will be a scripture service beginning at 3:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Putnam County Council On Aging, or a charity of the donor's choice.
