Betty L. Bland-Plotts

PAULDING - Betty L. Bland-Plotts, 78, of Paulding died 11:50 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Gardens of Paulding.  She was born August 19, 1940 in Springfield, TN. to the late Jessie and Cora (Gregory) Williams.  She was raised by Charles and Cora Ward. On October 6, 2006 she married Glen Plotts who survives in Paulding.

Betty is also survived by her children: Bob (Marsha) Bland and Sheila (Ed) Merriman both of Oakwood and Wendy (Chuck) Sharp of Grover Hill; step-son: William Plotts; step daughter: Brenda (Dan) LaFountain of Paulding; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother: Richard (Peggy) Ward of  Cecil; four sisters: Debbie (Rick) Merillat of Archbold, Ladonna McCoy of Bosie,  Idaho; Zellma (Ron) Katt of Fort Wayne, In. and Louise (Larry) Weible of Defiance; and her special companion: Bobby.   She is preceded in death by a son: Wesley Bland; a sister: Shirley Williams; a brother: Jesse Williams; and a granddaughter: Billie Jo Johnson.

Betty was manager of Borden Foods in Van Wert and owner of the former Uncle Fudds Restaurant in Melrose from 1982 until 1999.  She was a member of Junction Bible Christian Church and she loved her church family. Betty enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at Paulding Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jim Hiltner officiating.
