Beverly J. Coaker

CLOVERDALE – Beverly J. Coaker, 87, of Cloverdale, died at 1:08 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born August 25, 1938, in Bucyrus to the late Byron and Genevieve (Stephenson) Southward. On September 3, 1980, she married Lawrence Coaker, who preceded her in death in September of 2018.

Survivors include two children: Wendy (Mark) Rittenhouse of Cloverdale and Tom (Shirley) Hart of Ft. Wayne, IN; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Patti (Bill) Garrett of Bucyrus and Kathy (Nevin)Vandegrift of Nevada.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Rick Hart; a brother, Mike Southward; and two sisters: Bonnie Patton and Becki Smith.

Beverly was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ponce De Leon, FL. She loved walking, riding her bike and doing puzzle word search books.

The family will do a Celebration of Life at a later date.
