Bill H. Collins

OAKWOOD - Bill H. Collins, 49, of Oakwood died at 9:10 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1967 in Lima to Jack and Martha (Herd) Collins. His father is deceased, his mother, now Martha Dotson and stepfather, Terry Dotson survive in Continental.

Also surviving is a daughter: Ashley (Donald Richcreek) Collins of Oakwood; three grandchildren: Wyatt Collins, Ryder Collins, and James Collins; maternal grandmother: Pauline Herd of Continental; four stepbrothers: Denny Dotson of Oakwood, Chad Dotson of Miller City, and Robert Dotson and Darren Dotson both of Montana;  a stepsister: Tina Dotson of Defiance; his beloved dogs: Cujo and Cheyanne; and his shop cats.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Virgle Herd;  his cousin: Dallas Dotson; and Benji Collins, who he treated as one of his sons.

Bill was head mechanic at Big Deals in Defiance. He enjoyed racing at Oak Shades Racing.

Funeral Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with visitation prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the family.
