Blaine W. Martin
OTTOVILLE – Blaine W. Martin, 66 of Ottoville died 7:47 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born April 21, 1957 in Lima to the late Leroy and Virginia (Walsh) Martin. On September 19, 1992, he married Amy O'Neil and she survives in Ottoville.
Other survivors include two children: McKenzie (David Sams) Martin of Stoutsville and Zane (Devyn Carder) Martin of Delphos; two grandpups: Mabel and Rogue; a brother, Dale (Sue) Martin of Ottoville; in-laws: Mark O'Neil Sr. of Florida and Jennifer O'Neil of Columbus; nieces and nephews: Christie (Keith) Miller, Kevin (Kaiti) Martin, Kyle (Kristin) Martin, Mark (Bethany) O'Neil Jr., Zach O'Neil and Bailey O'Neil; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Linda O'Neil of Columbus.
He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Daniel O'Neil.
Blaine was a technician with Buckeye Exterminating and several other companies. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and Leipsic Eagles. Blaine was an avid softball player for many years and loved hunting, fishing, the Bengals, the Reds and especially, Pete Rose. He loved his family and enjoyed following his kids in their sporting events. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with The Very Reverend George Mahas. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp.
