Blaine A. Romes
OTTAWA - Blaine A. Romes, 14, of Ottawa died Thursday, May 9, 2013 in Ottawa. He was born March 24, 1999 in Lima to Brian and Michelle (Grothause) Romes. His father and step-mother, Lora, survive in Findlay. His mother, Michelle Grothause survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are his maternal grandparents: Tim and Cynthia Grothause of Pandora; paternal grandparents: Roger and Deb Romes of Glandorf and Patty Romes of Ottawa and paternal great-grandmother: Mary Kemper of Delphos. His brother, Blake Romes is deceased.
Blaine was an 8th grade student at Ottawa Elementary where he ran track and played basketball. He also played basketball at the YMCA. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FOURTH STREET GYMNASIUM in Ottawa.
Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorial donations may be made to one of the two memorial funds: The Union Bank in the names of Blake and Blaine Romes in Ottawa, Ohio 45875 or to the Huntington Bank in the name of "Romes Memorial Fund" 332 East Main Street, Ottawa, Ohio 45875.
