Bonnie J. Drew
LEIPSIC - Bonnie J. Drew, 76, of Leipsic died at 1:37 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born December 6, 1938 in West Leipsic to the late Marion and Ada (Bennett) Dickey. On December 29, 1956 she married Melvin Drew, who preceded her in death July 18, 2008.
She is survived by 3 sons: Daniel Drew of Ottawa, Rodney Drew and William Drew both of Leipsic; 1 daughter: Catharine (John) Jones of Bellefontaine; 9 grandchildren: Angela (Keith) Garnes of Findlay, Jason (Nicci) Drew of Findlay, Tara Drew of Gilbert, AZ, Joshua Jones of Lafayette, GA, Justin (Jacqueline) Jones of Reynoldsburg, Vanessa Jones of Ringold, GA, Allyson Drew of Columbus, Levi Drew of Ottawa, and Jaylin Drew of Deshler; 6 great grandchildren: Ajiah and Drew Jackson, Bronson and Ellie Drew, Jase Jones, and Marissa Nikole; 1 brother: Warren (Mary) Dickey of Leipsic; and 1 sister: Marilyn Thornburg of Bryan.
Preceding her in death are a son: Kenneth Drew; 2 brothers: William "Bud" Warner and Marion "Sonny" Dickey; 4 sisters: Mary Catharine Balbaugh, Doris Warner, Edna Lou Ellen Shoemaker, and Dorothy Skinner.
Bonnie graduated Salutatorian of her Leipsic High  School class of 1956. She was a member of Leipsic and Putnam County EMS for 23 years. She loved the Village of Leipsic and volunteered regularly serving the community.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, officiated by Pastor Tim Eding. Committal service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic.  Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or donor's choice.
