Brenda K. Utendorf

OTTAWA – Brenda K. Utendorf, 62, of Ottawa, died at 11:37 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 at her residence.  She was born March 10, 1959 in Lima to the late Leo and Carol (Unterbrink) Brinkman.  On June 23, 1984 she married Ben Utendorf and he survives in Ottawa.

Survivors include three children: Keith (Andria) Utendorf, Nick (Maria) Utendorf, both of Ottawa, and Mandi (Blake) Stegemiller of Dayton; two grandchildren: Averie and Brady Utendorf;  a sister and two brothers: Tami Cardell of Toledo, Kevin (Linda) Brinkman and Randy Brinkman, both of Glandorf.

She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Joan Brinkman.

Brenda was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She was a retired teacher from Ottawa-Glandorf Schools. She belonged to numerous groups and clubs and loved spending time with her kids, especially her grandkids.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery.  In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the mass on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.  A scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home and church.
