Calvin "Cal" Thomas Teegardin, 72 of Zanesville passed away Friday July 19, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Gomer, OH a son of the late William and Floy Jones Bechtol Teegardin. He was retired from Zanesville City Schools and a member of the Lima Elks Lodge #54, Lima, OH.
Cal is survived by his wife Louise Macke Teegardin whom he married on October 25, 1969 at St. Anthony's in Columbus Grove, OH; one daughter Jennifer Teegardin; one sister Jayne (Bob) Bassitt ; two grandchildren Laura and Nathan; Sister and brother-in-laws Connie (Otto) Gerdeman and Jerry (Marilyn) Macke; nieces and nephews John (Dawn) and Michael (Maryann) Bassitt, Julie (Matt) Tucholski, Diana (Paul) Bauer, David (Denise), John (Tiah), Mike, Dennis (Dianne), Christopher and Angie Gerdeman, Pam (Bernie) Moening and Linda (John) Kierns, Jerry (Phyllis) Macke and Tom Macke
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Amy Teegardin; one brother John Teegardin; mother and father-in-law Wilbert and Ruth Macke.
The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, with Deacon Jim Rump officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and again Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cal will be laid to rest in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery Ottawa, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter 1500 Newark Rd Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
