Carl P. Brinkman
LEIPSIC– Carl Paul Brinkman, 67, of Leipsic, died at 9:44 a.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born November 26, 1944 in Kalida to the late Cornelius A. and Genevieve (Michel) Brinkman. On December 12, 1988, he married Joyce (Prowant) Kimmet who survives in Leipsic.
Also surviving are 2 sons: DeWayne (Mary) Brinkman of Knoxville, TN., Shannon Brinkman of St. Marys, GA.; 2 daughters: Shannon Kimmet of Leipsic; Casandra Brinkman of Leipsic; 5 grandchildren: Matthew Berger, Savannah Guevara, Conner Guevara, Ansley Brinkman and Grayson Brinkman; 4 brothers: Harold Brinkman of Morgan Hill, CA., Mark (Ruth) Brinkman of Glandorf, James (Cheryl) Brinkman of Ottawa and Gary Brinkman of Ottawa; 5 sisters: Ruth (Bill) Storing of Clearfield, UT., Jane (Dave) Ripley of Ottawa, Judy Cuevas of Ottawa, Lynn (Raymie) Dible of Carey and Mary (Frank) Mullins of Ottawa; 14 nieces and 13 nephews. He was preceded in death also by a son: Daniel Kimmet and a sister: Martha Brinkman.
Carl was the co-owner of the Double J Bar in Leipsic as well as a general laborer.
He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and was a member of the Leipsic Eagles, Laborers Union of Lima and social member of the Leipsic VFW. He enjoyed golfing and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Deacon Tom Niese officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, McComb. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday, April 9, 2012 and 2 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at L0VE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
