Carla Ann (Miller) Landin
KALIDA - Carla Ann (Miller) Landin, age 55, passed away on March 13, 2018 at Vancrest Rehabilitation Center in Delphos, Ohio. She was born December 29, 1962, in Lima, to Donald B. and the late Celesta D. (Recker) Miller. Her father and stepmother, Monica (Rode) Miller survive in Ottoville. On November 8, 1997, Carla married Troy Landin who survives in Kalida.
Survivors include one sister, Lisa (Kevin) Lindeman of Ottoville, five brothers, Terry (Shirley Rieger) Miller and Lee Miller of Ottoville, Ron Miller of Powell, Randy (Roxy Eckrote) Miller of Ottawa, and Keith (Melissa Brenek) Miller of Spencerville; one stepsister Elaine (Jeff) Schimmoeller of Ottoville; seven stepbrothers, Steve (Mary Schimmoeller) Koester, Dave (Mary Osting) Koester, Joe (Tina Rellinger) Koester, Dean (Melanie Halsey) Koester, Chuck (Jodi Landin) Koester and Paul Koester of Ottoville, Dale (Lisa Lewis) Koester of Sunbury; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Darlene (Krites) Landin of Ottoville; and a brother-in-law, Chad (Lora Miller) Landin of Ottoville. She is survived by three aunts, one uncle, fifteen nieces, fourteen nephews, eight great nieces, seventeen great nephews and one on the way.
Carla was a 1981 graduate of Ottoville High School and attended Rhodes State College. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and its Rosary Altar Society.
She was an employee with Chiefs Supermarket for 36 years. Carla enjoyed catering with her friends for Dee Dee Schlagbaum.
Carla enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, praying the rosary, and traveling with Troy. She was more of a loving mother than an aunt to her nieces and nephews. Carla always had a smile, a kind word, and a giving heart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend Jerry Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be a Rosary at 1:45 p.m.
