Carol Jean Kettels
Ottawa - Carol Jean Kettels, 70, of Ottawa, died 4:49 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  She was born January 25, 1943 in Toledo to the late Charles and Viola (Hohenbrink) Schreiber.  On September 15, 1962, she married Thomas Kettels who survives in Ottawa.
Carol is also survived by her children: Lisa Palte and Teresia Kline both of Ottawa, Norm (Danielle) Kettels of Jerry City, Jean (David) Maag and Tommie (Jen) Kettels, Jr. both of Columbus Grove; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 3 sisters: Jeanette (Earl) Schroeder of Glandorf, Elaine (Donald) Inkrott and Maryellen (Paul) Brickner both of Ottawa and 2 brothers: Gary (Barb) Schreiber of Columbus Grove and Kevin (Marty) Schreiber of Lima and a brother-in-law: Paul Bensman of Ottawa.  She is preceded in death by a sister: JoAnn Bensman and a brother and sister-in-law: Kenny (Judy) Schreiber.
Carol was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  She was a homemaker and retired from working at Putnam Acres.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Matt Jozefiak and  Deacon Don Inkrott officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery.   Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorials may be given to the charity of donor's choice.
