Carolyn Jean Quinn
HILTON HEAD ISLAND - Carolyn Jean Quinn, 78, of Hilton Head Island, SC, formerly of Glandorf, died at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Otterbein-Portage Valley in Pemberville. She was born December 2, 1936 in Glandorf to the late Edward and Lenore (Nartker) Heckman. On August 18, 1956 she married Jack Quinn who survives in Woodville.
Also surviving are 3 children: Julie (Todd) Bowman of Woodville, Jeff Quinn of Hilton Head, SC, and Joyce (Willy) Merrick of Columbus; 8 grandchildren: Chad Stoffan, Erin Stoffan, Ryan (Ashley) Bowman, Brock Bowman, Stephanie Quinn, Ashley (Kyle) Storey, Austin (Hanna) Mueller and Andrick Mueller; 4 great-grandchildren: Emma Storey, Savannah Mueller, Riley Ott and Hunter Bowman; a brother: Duane (Janet) Heckman of Kalida; and a sister: JoAnn (Fred) Taylor of Cocoa, FL. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson: Bentley Bowman.
Jean was the Putnam County Treasurer retiring in 1996 to Hilton Head Island, SC. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and Our Lady of Lourdes in Genoa. She had been the President of Ohio County Treasurers Association. Jean loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
