Charles A. Knisley
LEIPSIC – Charles A. Knisley, 88, of Leipsic, passed away at 2:25 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 24, 1935, in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late Everett and Susie (Merriman) Knisley. On December 2, 1956, he married May Ludeman, who survives in Leipsic.
Other survivors include five children: Kathleen Kuhbander of Leipsic, Brenda (Tony) Perkins of Leipsic, Kenneth Knisley of Bossier City, LA, Lisa Michel and Russell (Susie Roa) Knisley, both of Leipsic; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margine Ludeman of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul Michel; and five siblings: Eugene McNeal, Elizabeth Hough, Robert Knisley, William Knisley and Mary Bingham.
Charles retired in 1997 from CNN Railroad, formerly known as D.T. & I. Railroad and GTW Railroad. Spending time with family was very important to Charles, especially attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.
Funeral service will begin 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Paul Gruder officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be held from 10 to 12 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
