Charles E. Wilson
FINDLAY - Charles E. Wilson, 68, of Findlay, died 7:16 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.  He was born August 25, 1946 in Lima to the late Charles D. and Alice (Stauffer) Wilson.  On June 20, 1969 he married Andrea M. Macke and they were divorced April 18, 1990.  She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter: Amy (Drew King) Wilson of Louisville, KY; a son: Eric (Christine) Wilson of Raleigh, NC; and a brother: Albert (Elaine) Wilson of CO.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Mack Wilson.
Charles was a graduate of Ottawa Public School and attended Bowling Green State University, Bluffton College and University of Findlay where he graduated with a degree in paralegal-legal assistant.  He entered the United States Air Force on April 11, 1966 and was honorably discharged on April 10, 1972.   During this period he was posted to Bien Hoa Air Force Base, South Vietnam.  He was present during the Tet offense which short control of three quarters of the air base.  Charles worked for Wilson Transportation of Ottawa, was a detective with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, IRL in Muncie, IN, Craycraft Trucking, Fostoria, OHM and Hyway Trucking, Findlay and retired from K & P Trucking, Willard.
A funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.  Military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW and AmVets will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Putnam County Library or Friends of the Vietnam Veteran Memorial, 4200 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Suite 106, Washington DC 20016.
