Cheryl Ann Meyers
LEIPSIC – Cheryl Ann Meyers, 68, of Leipsic died 9:02 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born November 4, 1957 in Lima to the late Arthur A. and Elizabeth A. (Miller) Knott. On September 1, 1979, she married Gerald W. Meyers, who survives.
Also surviving are 3 children: Lee W. Meyers of Columbus, Lisa A. Meyers of St. Louis, MO and Jay W. (Cori Tanrikut) Meyers of Washington, DC; 2 sisters: Carol R. Niese of Ottawa and Cynthia A. (Alvin) Stechschulte of Columbus Grove; 2 brothers-in-law: Jerry W. (Sandy) Meyers and Gary W. Meyers, both of Leipsic; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved like grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gary Niese; an infant sister-in-law, Laura A. Meyers; and Gary W. Meyers' life partner, Connie Snyder.
Cheryl retired from the USPS, where she had been a letter carrier for Leipsic and was a member of the Leipsic United Methodist Church. Cheryl was a former member of the Leipsic EMS. She was an avid supporter and member of the Leipsic Community Center and enjoyed walks there with her many friends. As soon as the weather would break, she could be found most evenings cruising around Leipsic on her golf cart.
Cheryl’s funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Burial will follow at Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
