Clarence Verhoff
MILLER CITY - Clarence Verhoff, 52, of Miller City, died 6:45 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his home. He was born September 1, 1961 in Lima to Fred and Alvera (Lehman) Verhoff who survive in Continental. On June 4, 1983 he married Jacki Erford who survives in Miller City.
He is also survived by his three sons: Chad (Mary) Verhoff, Bryan (Carrie Jo Fitzwater) Verhoff, and Brock (Tiffany Utrup) Verhoff  all of Miller City; four brothers: Eugene Verhoff of Continental, Pat (Valerie) Verhoff of Miller City, Greg (Cathy) Verhoff of Miller City, Oran (Kelly) Verhoff of Miller City, a sister Doris (Mike) Tobe of New Cleveland;  2 grandchildren: Clara and Emma Verhoff. He was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Verhoff and a sister-in-law Nancy Verhoff
Clarence was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. He was in charge of maintenance for Palmer Township in Putnam County for over 23 years. He was also co-owner of Mac and Rita's Bar in Miller City for 27 years. Clarence was a member of the Miller City Sportsman Club and Leipsic Eagles.
A mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, with Fr. Steve Schroeder and Deacon Jim Rump officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, with a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
