CLETUS GERDEMAN
GLANDORF - Cletus A. Gerdeman, 78, of Glandorf died 5:15 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Meadows at Putnam Acres. He was born January 28, 1935 in Lima to the late Harry and Theresa M. (Rieman) Gerdeman.
He is survived by a brother, John (Mary Ann) Gerdeman of Ottawa; a nephew, Daniel (June) Gerdeman of Glandorf; 2 nieces: Debra (Greg) Maag and Patricia (Mike) Moening both of Ottawa; 7 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
Cletus was a lifelong farmer. He also worked for Russco in Pandora and the Alfalfa Mill in Ottawa. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and a Army Veteran serving in Germany. He received special recognition from Gov. Richard Celeste on August 31, 1990 for his commitment to improving the Glandorf Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. john the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Glandorf Park.
