Clinton Vance
Oakwood -- Clinton Vance, 80, of Oakwood, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Defiance Regional Hospital. He was born October 20, 1934, in Lincoln County, West Virginia to the late Mose and Ruth Ann (Moore) Vance. On September 10, 1966 he married Barbara Sue Colwell who survives in Oakwood.
He is survived by a brother: Carmie (Mary) Vance, and a sister: Minnie (Aaron) Rice, both of Verdunville, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Otto, Ira, Donald and Odell, and a sister: Myrtle Ward.
Clinton was retired from Defiance Stamping where he was a machinist. He was also a member of the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Murphy Burell officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
