Colleen Marie (Jennings) Keck
OAKWOOD - Colleen Marie (Jennings) Keck, 90, went to heaven surrounded by her loving family February 18, 2022. She was born June 5, 1931 in Defiance to the late Charles Raymond and Mary Love (Fillman) Jennings. On August 10, 1949 she married Keith Clifford Keck. Keith passed away January 22, 2016. They were married 66 years and had 5 wonderful daughters.
Surviving are 4 daughters: Deborah Katherine (Jacob) Okuley of Continental, Marcia Jean (Dennis) Cline of Defiance, Cheryl Louise (Robert) Thrasher and Sandra Keith Hartzell, both of Oakwood; a sister: Mary Catherine Batt of Defiance; and a brother: Raymond Charles Jennings of Defiance. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who she enjoyed and loved very much.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as a daughter, Rebecca Marie Hawkey; a son-in-law: Michael John Hartzell; a brother: Charles Jacob (Mary) Jennings; a sister-in-law: Judi Jennings and a brother-in-law: Vincent Batt.
Colleen was a fulltime homemaker and babysitter and was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale. Over the years, she helped her husband, Keith, farm and was proud of her John Deere tractor. She loved holding, rocking and spoiling babies. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and mowing her lawn.
Colleen's funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Father Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in Little Auglaize Cemetery, Melrose. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers and knowing Colleen's love for children, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children or the charity of the donor's choice.
