Connie Jean Singer OAKWOOD – Connie J. Singer, 77, of Oakwood, passed away 7:30 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born January 29, 1947, in Defiance to the late Alvin and Fanny May (Adams) Long. Connie is survived by two children: Brad Singer of Oakwood and Robyn (David) Settlemire of Ottawa; 3 grandchildren: Hailey, Miley and Kayla (Luke) Wagner; 2 brothers: Steve (Beth) Long of Defiance and Rick Long of Oakwood. She was preceded in death by her son: Larry Singer Jr, in infancy, and her former husband, and father of her children, Larry Singer. Connie was a graduate of Oakwood High School and earned her teaching degree from Anderson University and Master's degree in Education from Defiance College. She taught fifth & sixth grades at Oakwood Elementary and finished her teaching career at Paulding Middle School. She loved spending time with her grandkids, walking her dog, Sugar, watching her Cleveland Browns and Ohio St Buckeyes, and enjoyed golfing with her brothers. No services will be held at his time, as a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood.
