Dale J. Nienberg
KALIDA - Dale J. Nienberg, 63, of Kalida died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1950 in Lima to the late John Nienberg and Marcile (Elwer) Nienberg-Schmitz.
He is survived by a nephew: Mike (Teresa) Nartker of New Riegel; a niece: Paula Nartker of New Riegel; 5 great-nieces; 1 great-great-nephew: and 2 great-great-nieces. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Susan Nartker.
In 2003, after 30 years of teaching, coaching, and administration, Dale retired as Kalida High School principal. He was a 1973 graduate of The Ohio State University, Columbus and a member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, the Van Wert and Paulding Chapters. He was the president of the Putnam County Library; a Master Gardner; and a member of the Kalida Lions Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to the Putnam County Library.
