Daniel Fortman
Kalida - Daniel Fortman, 62, of Kalida died at 9:55 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 at, The Meadows at Putnam Acres.  He was born October 11, 1951 in Lima, to the late Harry and Irene (Duling) Fortman.
He is survived by five brothers: James (Cheryl) Fortman of Kalida, Karl ( Judy) Fortman of Kalida, David Fortman of Ottawa, Joe (Sandra) Fortman of Glandorf, and Alan (Barbara) Fortman of Kalida; and three sisters: Judy (Joe) Stechschulte of Columbus Grove, Mary Lou (Donald) Hoffman of Kalida, and Karen (Kenneth) Ruhe of Ottawa.
Dan worked at Brookhill Workshop in Ottawa. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida.  Dan loved cowboys, horses, and enjoyed drawing; summers at Wolf Lake Summer Camp, and spending time with his caregiver Mike.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
