Daniel L. Schomaeker
OTTAWA - Daniel L. Schomaeker, 74, of Ottawa died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at The Meadows at Putnam Acres, Ottawa. He was born July 23, 1938 in Lima to the late Paul and Alice (Siefer) Schomaeker. On December 1, 1956 he married Eileen Fenbert who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 4 children: Denise (Fred) Lauf of Ottawa, Michelle (Mike) Recker of Buckeye Lake, Bruce (Cindy) Schomaeker of Ottawa, and Ronald (Lisa) Schomaeker of Van Wert; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild on the way; and 2 brothers: Jim (Lynn) Schomaeker of Cincinnati and Jerry (Kelly) Schomaeker of Ottawa. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Ronald Schomaeker.
Dan was an operating engineer in Toledo. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and a graduate of Sts. Peter and Paul High School, Ottawa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul School Endowment Fund.
