Danny Lee Dotson

CONTINENTAL - Danny Lee Dotson, 72, of Continental, died at 9:03 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima. He was born July 20, 1943 in Lima to the late Cletis and Maxine (Morrison) Dotson.

He is survived by six children: Danny (Jenna) Dotson, Jr., Dana (Ed) Slattman, and Darla Dotson all of Continental, Donna (Darren) Landin of Ottoville, Arella Dotson and Leesi Dotson both of Defiance; fifteen grandchildren: Derek, Allen, Autumn, Chaz, Ryan, Erika, Rylee, Cole, Holden, Cailah, Trentyn, Ashlee, Danny III, Alli, and Damian; ten great-grandchildren: Caidence, Boston, Dallyn, Cooper, Lynix, Lilly, Gage, Luca, Arianna, and Tate; and two brothers: Terry (Marty) Dotson of Continental and Pat (Brenda) Dotson of Ayersville; and five sisters: Phyllis (Darryl) Passeno of MI, Carol Dunifon of Alabama, Sandy Carnahan of Continental, Linda (Tom) Fulmer of Georgia, and Cindy Dotson of Continental. He was also preceded in death by a son: Dallas Dotson and a grandson: Devon Dotson.

Danny retired from General Motors in 1990 and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. Danny was a member of the Rollin Thunder Motor Cycle Club, UAW #211 and the Defiance VFW.

A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Tim Worline officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dupont with military rites by the Defiance VFW. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday all at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
