Darlene M. Harris

LIMA – Darlene M. Harris, 72, of Lima died 7:05 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center.  She was born February 6, 1949 in Lima to the late Leonard and Gertrude (Sawmiller) Michel.

Darlene is survived by 3 sisters:  Arlene (Arthur) Bear of Continental, Jane (Cecil) Collins of Mississippi and Theresa (Tony) Mancuso of Florida; 2 brothers:  Herbert (Lynn) Michel of Kalida and Dennis (Mary) Michel of Ottawa.

Darlene worked at a number of places throughout her life, but she enjoyed her later years spending time at the RMS Day Program. Darlene enjoyed spending time and laughing with friends. She loved to play bingo and starting her morning by enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate. Darlene's contagious laugh and smile will be missed by all of those who called her a friend.

Darlene's funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Rick Friebel officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
