David E. Kimmet

GLANDORF – David E. Kimmet, 69, of Glandorf, died at 6:21 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.  He was born April 21, 1953, in Lima to the late Eugene and Elinor (Beining) Kimmet.  On November 5, 1977, he married Susan Brinkman, who preceded him in death on May 5, 2008.

Survivors include three children: Doug (Julie) Kimmet of Glandorf, Julie (Chris Luzio) Kimmet of Columbus and Michael Kimmet of Ottawa; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn Kimmet, Lauren Kimmet, Madison Kimmet, Wesley Luzio and Archibald Luzio; four sisters: Becky Plumpe of Springfield, MO, Connie Wilcox of Delphos, Mary (Jerry) Hanneman of Glandorf and Karen (Brian) Ragan of Woodville; his partner later in life, Judy Imm and his bonus family: Shawn Imm of Ottawa, Faye (Tim Berry) Imm of Glandorf, Randy (Jill) Imm of Ottawa; and four bonus grandchildren: Brooke Felkey, Vonn Felkey, Cole Imm and Zaryn Imm.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Kimmet.

David was a 1972 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School and retired after 30 plus years from Dana Corporation, Lima, where he worked as a machinist.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. David loved the beach, spending time with his family and attending his grandkids' sporting events.

Memorial Mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022, with a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and again on Friday, November 18, 2022, one hour prior to the Mass at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
